I was having a bit of a stressful morning and kept doing my breathing technique to help release some negative energy. I needed a little break so I decided to check the mail. It's about 10 degrees outside right now. I bundled up with my coat and boots and went to check the mail. The mail hasn't come yet, so as I was walking back into the house, I realized that the sidewalk was covered in snow... So I decided to go ahead and stretch out my break a little longer by cleaning off the sidewalk which turned into a 20-minute break shoveling snow out of the driveway!! That was one of the most relaxing and productive breaks I've had in awhile. I genuinely feel refreshed and was able to release a lot of the stress from my morning. I was able to just focus on shoveling the snow. It never ceases to amaze how much better I feel after I truly take a real break. This just goes to show that really anything can be done mindfully and can help you relax.
